GHOSTS

I finally made some progress on the next project.  These little guys were so cute, I just
had to make them.  I came up with my own faces for them.  It's
amazing what you can do with measuring spoons, measuring cups, and other various
things you have in your kitchen.  I will be moving these outside to the
front porch soon.  For now, they posed in the kitchen to have
their picture made.

PUMPKIN PATCH

I finished the first set and I think it turned out pretty neat.  This project was really very simple, but just a little time consuming.  I'm currently doing a second set for a friend.  Hope she likes them as much as I do.

MESSY ROOM

Yes, a very messy room!  When you start to run out of work surface, it is definitely time to clean up.  It's hard to swap back and forth between beads and other fob supplies being spread out and paints, wood, brushes, etc.

Today before working on any projects, it is time to clean up, pick up, and put away!  That is where I will be for a while this morning.

NEW PROJECT IN THE MAKING...

This project is close to completion.  Just a couple more things to do.  I'm hoping it will turn out really cute.  It is super inexpensive to do.  That makes it even better!  Will post an After photo as soon as it is done.

OUT THE DOOR

A little background for those that don't read my Facebook page...I have been making and selling scissor fobs to a needlepoint store in Connecticut for a few months now.  The most current order shipped this past Tuesday and hopefully have arrived safe and sound.  The store is having a trunk show and guest artist there today, so maybe most of the fobs will sell also.  This was the fifth order I have done for them.  This one was five Halloween and five Christmas ones.  Picture below.

PROGRESS

Still not a good blogger, but I am making progress on my cross stitch projects.  This Santa is fun to work on, but there is a lot of confetti stitches (which I don't like).  Here's a picture to prove that I have worked on it some!

BETTER LATE THAN NEVER...

I am finally getting around to posting a couple of pictures of the cross stitch WIP that I mentioned in my previous post.  Where does the time go!  This is entitled Old Wise Santa, designed by Fiddlestix, and published by The Design Connection.  I am stitching this on 28 ct Olive, Cashel Linen, and it is stitched with all DMC threads.  I haven't had a chance to work on it lately, but hope to very, very soon.  It is a fun stitch!

Same amount of stitching, just two pictures with different lighting.

BUSY

March and April (up to this point) have been very busy.  First I decided to combine the two blogs I have.  I am not a very good blogger, so doing two was just not happening.  So now you will get to see all of my crafts in one place.

I have had a very busy "fob" month.  For those that don't know, I make scissor fobs and sell them on Etsy.  You can see them here www.etsy.com/shop/beadedfobsbylayne
I have sold a lot of my fobs the past four to five weeks and I really appreciate the folks that have placed orders.

I started a couple of new cross stitch projects.  One is a fairly simple project that I am keeping for sitting in the doctor's office, dentist office, and when we are on the road.  The other one is a Christmas one, actually a Santa Claus.  I have had the chart and fabric for years and finally decided it was time to get this one done.  He has a companion chart also, and yes, I have had the fabric for it just as long.  I will do it next.  I will try to post pictures soon.

Thanks for stopping by!

Definitely Not a Good Blogger

I'm the first to admit that I am not a good blogger!  I do, however, have an update on one of my cross stitch projects that I have posted before.  It is small progress.  The tree beside the house took an extremely long time to do and there is one on the other side of the house to be done.  Here's a picture and thanks for looking.
